DAY 1 - MT. FUJI AND HAKONE SIGHTSEEING

Head to Mt. Fuji Area (Transfer by bus)

Head up to Mt. Fuji 5th Station or the highest point accessible (30 min)*

The bus will head up the World Heritage Mt. Fuji 5th Station along the Subaru Line. The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 feet) above sea level. At this height, you will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.

*Depending on road conditions, the tour will be guided to Mt. Fuji 4th Station or 5th Station.

*If the Fuji Subaru Line is closed, the tour will visit Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park or Fujisan World Heritage Center.

Head to Lake Ashi Cruise Boarding Area (Transfer by bus)

•Lake Ashi Cruise Ship Sorakaze (15 min)

Hop on board the Sorakaze, a cruise ship on Lake Ashi in Hakone. Spend a relaxing time while gazing at the beautiful lake and Mt. Fuji aboard a ship where passengers can feel as if they’re in a green park floating over Lake Ashi.

•Hakone Komagatake Ropeway (50 min)

Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the Komagatake mountaintop. Enjoy the scenery of Lake Ashi in the Hakone National Park spreading out below.

*Duration Estimate: One-way ropeway ride to summit 7 min - stroll around summit - one-way ropeway ride to base 7 min (total 50 min)

Customers that descend Mt. Komagatake early can stop by the souvenir corner at the foot of the mountain. *Depending on time management, and if the order of tour destinations was changed, there may not be time to purchase souvenirs.

  • Exemptions/Itinerary Guarantee: Itinerary/Destinations -The order of the tour itinerary is subject to change due to road conditions or other reasons. -Depending on road conditions, the tour will be guided to Mt. Fuji 4th Station or 5th Station. If the Fuji Subaru Line is closed, the tour will visit Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park or Fujisan World Heritage Center.
  • Important Notes: Mt. Fuji Visitable Location & Timing Estimate The best time to visit to reach the 5th Station is typically from late April to around November, but in winter (December to early April), it cannot be reached on most days due to reasons such as snowfall and road surface freezing. Thank you for your understanding. Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be given for this reason. As the Lake Ashi Cruise Ship Sorakaze undergoes inspection on Wednesdays, an alternative ship will be used. The inspection day is subject to change. In addition, long-term inspection may be conducted. If the Lake Ashi cruise or Komagatake Ropeway cannot be boarded (when not visitable due to suspension of operation, road congestion, or conditions at other sightseeing areas), the tour will be guided to one of the following alternative destinations. (The tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be issued for this reason.) Appare Sightseeing Boat on Lake Kawaguchi, Swan Lake Cruise Ship on Lake Yamanaka, Hakone Pirate Ship, Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, Hakone Ropeway, Hakone Jukkokutoge Panoramic Cable Car, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Fujiyama Museum, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone-en Aquarium, Ninja Bus, Oshino Shinobi no Sato, Hakone Checkpoint, Odawara Castle, Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, Higashiguchi Hongu Sengen Shrine, Oshino Hakkai, Hakone Shrine, Hakone Sekisho Tabimonogatarikan (Shop), etc. Depending on the season and day of the week, traffic conditions may vary, and arrival time at each location may be considerably delayed. Thank you for your understanding. On the day when the annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb is held, which is usually on a weekend in June (schedule for 2025 is June 1st), the Fuji Subaru Line is closed until around 14:00. The tour will proceed on this day as well. Please note that there will be changes to the itinerary order and sightseeing locations, and the Komagatake Ropeway and Lake Ashi cruise may be changed to alternative itineraries. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined.
  • Important Notes/Supplements: Regarding Children/Infants:- Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus seats or lunch. If bus seats or lunch is required, please make a booking under the child rate.
  • Important Notes/Supplements: Regarding Meals: Lunch is not included on this tour. Please prepare lunch in advance on your own. There are no cafes, restaurants, or other places to have lunch near the lunch break area. Preparing this prior to departure is recommended. Midway, at the lunch break area, there will be a wadaiko (Japanese drum) performance, one of Japan's traditional arts performed by the Social Welfare Corporation Fugakukai.*1 Please note that the tour may not be able to view the performance in case arrival is considerably delayed due to road conditions, or the tour is unable to reach the intended break area. Furthermore, depending on the circumstances of the facility, the performance may be canceled without prior notice.
